Within about 30 miles of Millersport our own trucks deliver and, if you want, stack the wood where you point. That covers Millersport, Baltimore, Buckeye Lake, Thornville, Hebron, Lancaster, Newark, Heath, Granville, Pataskala, Etna, Pickerington, Carroll, Canal Winchester, Reynoldsburg, Somerset and the villages in between. Fees are $25 (0–10 miles), $40 (10–20 miles) and $60 (20–30 miles), and delivery is free on orders over $200 — which means a face cord at $449 always ships free locally. You can choose economy (your zone's regular day), next-day, same-day within 10 miles, a nominated day or a timed slot at checkout.
Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati, Toledo and the rest of Ohio
Beyond our local loop we ship by freight on a pallet or in crates, curbside, at our Midwest rate of $150 — free on orders over $1,000. Freight typically arrives in 3–7 business days, and the carrier calls ahead to book the drop-off. Freight works best for larger formats: a full cord, a 1 m³ or 2 m³ crate, or a 480 kg pallet of boxed wood. Smaller boxes ship too, but the delivery fee makes up a bigger share of the order.
Why kiln-dried matters in an Ohio winter
Fresh-cut wood is 40–60% water. Seasoned wood from a backyard pile usually sits around 20–30%. Ours is kiln-dried and meter-tested before it leaves the yard, with a target under 15–18%. Drier wood lights with one match, burns hotter, smokes less and leaves far less creosote in your chimney — which matters most in January, when you're burning every night.
How much do you need for a season?
A household burning four nights a week through an Ohio winter typically uses one to two face cords; homes that heat mainly with wood need two to three full cords. Our calculator works it out from your stove's output and how often you burn — for a typical evening-fire season it lands around 2.8 m³, a little over two face cords.
