Rule of thumb
An average home burning 4 nights a week through winter uses 1–2 face cords. Heating primarily with wood? Plan on 2–3 full cords.
Bigger packs save
A Full Cord works out far cheaper per m³ than bins or boxes. Store it off the ground, covered on top, open at the sides.
Kiln-dried goes further
Wood at <15% moisture releases up to 35% more usable heat than seasoned wood at 25–30%, so you burn less.
