What delivery to California costs
California is in our West Coast freight zone: $400 per order, free on orders over $2,000. Freight is curbside on a pallet or in crates, typically 3–7 business days, and the carrier calls ahead. Your exact fee and earliest date appear as soon as you enter your ZIP.
Los Angeles, San Diego, the Bay Area, Sacramento and the mountains
We ship to the cities — Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Sacramento, Fresno — and to cabins in Tahoe, Big Bear and the Sierra foothills. For restaurants with wood-fired ovens, our Baker's Wood is cut to oven-friendly lengths.
California's firewood rules
California protects its oaks from pests like the goldspotted oak borer and invasive shot hole borers, and agricultural shipments can be inspected at the state's border stations. The state asks everyone to buy firewood where they burn it or to use certified heat-treated wood. We only ship kiln-dried wood and check current California Department of Food and Agriculture requirements before dispatch; if your order can't ship, we cancel and refund it in full.
Best formats for the West Coast
Freight is priced per order, so crates and pallets give the best value per cubic foot. A 480 kg pallet of 20 kg boxes is easy to store in a garage and carry inside a box at a time.
